Wedding Videography – Full-Day Coverage

Over the years, and across hundreds of weddings, I’ve refined my wedding packages based on what couples actually want. In reality, couples – or perhaps more accurately, brides-to-be – very rarely ask for less than what’s included below.

That’s why, instead of offering a basic package with optional add-ons that quickly inflate the final price, I provide all-inclusive full-day coverage. This guide outlines the total cost for a standard 11-hour wedding booking at venues within the Dornoch / Inverness area.

For venues outside this area, please refer to the Travel Costs Table to calculate any additional travel charges.

Full-Day Package Overview

• Cost: £1,095
  (Includes up to 25 miles travel from Ardross – e.g. Inverness to Dornoch. No VAT applicable.)

• Coverage Duration: 11 hours (e.g. 10:00 am – 9:00 pm)

• Typical Coverage Includes:
  Bridal preparations, ceremony, speeches, guest mingling, post-ceremony photoshoot coverage, and first dances

• Bonus: Short content clips suitable for social media reels.

 

Equipment & Setup

• Up to 5 cameras filming in 4K for the ceremony and speeches
  (Subject to suitable space and non-obstructive venue layouts)

• 2 cameras for the evening reception (extended tripod and gimbal)

• Drone footage (pre- or post-ceremony, where safe and permitted)

• Multiple radio lapel microphones for clear audio capture

 

Included Travel

• Up to 50 miles total (approximately a 1-hour return journey) from Ardross (near Alness/Evanton)

 

Additional Travel Charges

• Beyond this allowance:
  £20 per hour travel time and 35p per mile

 

Additional Filming Time

• Filming before 10:00 am or after 9:00 pm: £35 per half hour

• Bookings extending beyond 10:00 pm require a £50 overnight accommodation fee

 

Booking Details

• Securing Your Date:
  A £100 non-refundable booking fee is required.
  This amount is deducted from the final balance.

• Balance Payment:
  Due no later than 2 weeks before the wedding.

• Package Flexibility:
  You can secure your date without finalising details immediately.
  Coverage will default to the 11-hour package unless otherwise agreed in advance by email or Messenger.

 

What’s Included?

 

Morning Preparations

• Arrival from 10:00 am to capture bridal prep, hair, makeup, gift exchanges, and atmosphere

 

Ceremony

• Multi-camera coverage capturing the full ceremony in detail

Post-Ceremony

Photoshoot

Coverage

      Footage of guests mingling

• Selected video clips of the couple during the photoshoot

• Coordination with the photographer is essential to allow time for video-specific shots

Speeches & Meal

• Full coverage of speeches using up to 5 cameras

• Cameras are removed during the meal to allow space for catering staff

 

Evening Reception

• Filming of first dances, guest mingling, and key moments until 9:00 pm

• If I start earlier and the first three dances are completed, I may finish before 9:00 pm unless extended coverage has been arranged

 

Deliverables

• Main Edit:
  Approximately 2 hours in length (largely determined by ceremony and speeches)
  Delivered on USB due to large file sizes

• Highlights Film:
  8½ – 10 minutes, showcasing the best moments
  Uploaded to Vimeo and YouTube after client approval

• Social Media Sharing:
  Highlights shared on social platforms with client consent

 

Optional Additional Coverage

Extra coverage may be requested for reasons such as

:

• Earlier starts for extended morning preparations

• Weddings at hotels, castles, or large venues requiring more location footage

       Additional moments that can be covered include:

• Guest video messages (subject to guest participation)

• Ceilidh dancing and spontaneous performances

• Final dances of the evening

• Fireworks

 

Editing & Turnaround

• Editing Time: Approximately 35–40 hours per wedding

• Delivery Time: 8–16 weeks post-wedding (season dependent)

• Revisions:
  Minor edits can be requested within 2 weeks of receiving the USB
  (e.g. “remove clip from 4:12–4:16”)
  After this period, the project will be archived and raw files deleted.

Additional Notes

• Shorter bookings may be accepted at short notice or for midweek weddings

• All costs include setup time on arrival

• Early starts or unscheduled late finishes will be charged accordingly
