Strathpeffer Pavilion has been at the heart of live entertainment in the Scottish Highlands since it first opened in 1881, during the village’s Victorian spa-town heyday. Built as a grand gathering space for visitors and residents alike, the Pavilion quickly became known for hosting live music, dances, orchestral performances, and touring acts. After periods of change throughout the twentieth century — including use as a military hospital during the First World War and later restoration by the community — the Pavilion has returned to its original purpose as a vibrant performance venue. Today, Strathpeffer Pavilion is widely recognised as one of the Highlands’ most characterful music venues, regularly welcoming bands, solo artists, concerts, gigs, festivals, and cultural events. This video showcases the Pavilion as a flexible, multi-purpose venue ready to host performances of all kinds, supported by a strong local hospitality offering, with hotels, guesthouses, and self-catering accommodation available nearby for audiences and performers travelling to Strathpeffer for events.

The Dalchork Land Management Project is part of Forestry and Land Scotland’s work to care for and manage the national forests in North Sutherland. The project looks at how this land can be managed responsibly over the coming years — supporting timber production, protecting wildlife, restoring important habitats, and improving the forest for future generations. Some areas of forest will be harvested and replanted, while other work focuses on restoring peatland, protecting rivers and streams, and improving biodiversity. Deer management and forest planning also help ensure the landscape stays healthy and resilient to climate change. The overall aim is to balance forestry, conservation, and community benefit, ensuring the land continues to provide environmental, economic, and social value for years to come.

The footage captures the process from preparation through to the precise fitting of the new glazing, designed to maximise natural light, improve thermal performance, and enhance the building’s modern appearance. The installation highlights the craftsmanship and technical expertise involved in fitting high-quality architectural glazing systems.
