I noticed over the years that most Halls had an old out of tune piano, with nicotine stained keys & varnish peeling off.. the pedals stuck to the floor & the familiar dead notes on the keyboard at the end of every Hall… I always wondered if these old pianos could speak ,what many wonderful stories & tales they could tell us… where they started out, in the old school or the local church or Sunday school.. maybe moved onto the local public house, Honky Tonk or music venue of its day.. The people who tinkled the ivories & sang around her.. the happiness & enjoyment given to the people who gathered to enjoy the music played on her through the mists of time.. Full day wedding filming package WEDDING SHOWREEL ENQUIRY FORM Having tweaked wedding packages over the years, which has been hundreds of weddings, Couples or should I say 'Brides to be' have hardly ever asked for anything less than what is listed below. That is why instead of offering a base package with add-ons that bump the price through the roof, I offer an all inclusive day coverage . This guide represents the total cost payable for a standard 11 hour day booking for weddings at venues within the Dornoch / Inverness radius. click the Table of Travel Costs ilink for a guide to work out additional travel costs. Full-Day Package Overview • Cost: £1,095 (includes 25 miles travel from Ardross). (no VAT to be added) • Duration: 11 hours (e.g., 10:00 am - 9:00 pm). • Coverage: Typical coverage includes; bridal preps., ceremony, speeches, mingling, documenting photoshoot and the first dances • Content clips for reels. Equipment : • Up to 5 cameras filming in 4K for the ceremony and speeches. (In venues with adequate an non-obstructive space) • 2 cameras for evening reception (on extended tripod, and gimbal). • Drone footage (pre/post-ceremony if safe and practical) • Multiple radio lapel microphones Travel & Additional Coverage Included Travel: Up to 50 miles (1-hour return trip) from Ardross (Near Alness/Evanton). Beyond this, £20/hour travel time and 35p/mile apply. Additional Filming Coverage : • Additional coverage after 9:00 pm: or earlier than 10am £35 per half-hour. • Bookings past 10:00 pm require a £50 overnight accommodation fee. Booking Details Securing Your Date: A £100 non-refundable booking fee is required. (This £100 is deducted from the agreed total at time of paying the balance) Balance Payment: Due no later than 2 weeks before the wedding. You can secure your booking without deciding on a specific package immediately. This can be decided closer the time, although it will be the main 11 hour package unless previously discussed and agreed by email or on messenger. What’s Included? Morning Prep: Arrival at 10:00am to film bridal preparations (hair, makeup, gift exchanges, etc.). Ceremony: Multi-camera setup to capture the event in full detail. Footage during the setup at the post ceremony photoshoot: Includes footage of guests mingling and selected video clips of the couple during the shoot. Coordination with photographers is necessary to ensure time for video-specific shots. Speeches & Meal: (5 Cameras) Full coverage of speeches. Cameras are removed during the meal to allow space for catering staff. Evening Reception: Filming first dances, mingling, and key moments until 9:00 pm (or extended if pre-arranged) or if I started early and first 3 dances have passed I will leave earlier than 9pm. Deliverables Main Edit: Approx. 2 hours, delivered on USB as files are very large. (The duration is mainly determined by the ceremony and speeches) Highlights Montage: 8 1/2 - 10 minutes showcasing the best moments, uploaded to Vimeo and YouTube after approval. Social Media Sharing: Highlights shared on socials,YouTube and Vimeo with client consent. Additional Coverage Reasons why extra overage may be requested. Earlier start to get more morning prep footage or if in hotel or Castle etc. to give more opportunity to get location footage. Guest video messages. (Guest Willingness Dependent): Ceilidh dancing, spontaneous performances, or family members on stage. The last couple of dances Fireworks. Editing & Turnaround • Time Required: 35-40 hours of editing per wedding. • Turnaround: Approx. 8-16 weeks post-wedding (season-dependent). • Tweaks: Clients can request edits to specific sections if no later than 2 weeks from receiving the main edit. (e.g., “remove clip from 4:12–4:16”). Notification of any adjustments need to be made to me within 2 weeks of receiving the USB. If I do not hear from you before then, I will archive the main edit and highlights as an archive and delete the raw project files. Additional Notes • Shorter bookings may only be accepted at short notice or if midweek. • The total cost includes time for setup of equipment on arrival and early starts or unscheduled late finishes will be accounted for. Let us help you preserve them today Vintage VIDEO TAPE to DIGITAL transfer service from following formats; VIDEO 8 / MINI DV / VHS-C / VHS / DVD Transfers are made to MP4 video files which is a standard format for playing in most modern devices Files will be supplied on a USB memory stick which can either be supplied by us at £12.50 for a 32GB drive, unless you’d prefer to provide your own and send with your tape/s. If requested. QUALITY PLEASE! note the following; Some older tapes that may not have been stored in a damp free environment or kept in a particularly dusty environment may not be salvageable due to deterioration. The best way to check this if you, like most households, don't have a camcorder or vhs player to test it on, It could be sent to me to try out before commencing. SCALE Consider that the comparison of a modern widescreen TV screen ie. 55” screen. Any image upscaled to play on a much larger screen than originally made for will not look great. The following diagram illustrates how small the DVD (PAL DV) format was in comparison to todays TV’s: Your new digital version will look better on smaller devices eg. Laptop. Although transferring your tape won’t improve the original quality as it is what it is, but it will preserve it from further deterioration or possibility of ever seeing again. Once Digitised ie. once it is saved to a modern mp4 video file, I can run it through an AI processor that can upscale and enhance old footage but this is a time hungry process and can work out expensive due to this. this technology is quite magical what it can do but if your footage is precious and you want to preserve it at it's best quality, this option might be right for you. if interested please contact me for details on this. Some tapes suffer from bad tracking (lines through the screen) which can also affect the sound. This can often be tuned into but not always successful. Agreed cost is required to be paid before dispatching your USB stick and tapes back to you. The return post will be based on 2nd class signed for small parcel and packaging which is on average £3.50 for sending eg. a couple of VHS tapes and USB stick Or if local, pick can be arranged (I live in Ardross and also work in Alness High Street) Each 1 hour of tape transfer is £20.00 which is unedited direct transfer footage converted to .MP4 format or also known as H264. This is a widely recognised format used on many devices and the format that youtube uses once converted from uploads. STRAIGHT FROM THE CAMERA TO DIGITAL FILE - OR - WITH SOME MINOR EDITING On camcorder and VHS tapes it was common to have a lot of footage where eg. the camera was pointing at the ground or left on record by accident creating a lot of dead footage. Also VHS can aften leave an uneven edge to the video. Also colour can be quite washed out looking. If preferred I can do some editing to remove and clean up a bit to make it a better viewing experience. I recommend getting your transfer done and once received and watched, let me know what you’d like removed or adjusted in the footage as I can keep a master copy to do further editing with. This would make it easier and quicker to get back to work on it. Unless you ask for the tidying up to be done at the time of transfer and preparation before returning to you. This is a sample of video from an old VHS tape of my family to compare direct transfer to one with minor editing (insert link to vimeo clip) Any editing requested will be quoted before proceeding. TOPAZ VIDEO AI FORMATS OF MEDIA THAT I CAN TRANSFER VHS VHS C 8MM STANDARD 8 DVD Stages of Tape/ Transfer 1. Tape or DVD Testing • The initial step is to test the tape to see if it plays properly and assess whether it is likely to copy successfully. • Some tapes that have been left unused for extended periods may not play correctly. • In some cases, the sound or picture may be so badly deteriorated that little can be done to restore it. • This highlights the importance of transferring tapes sooner rather than later, as continued deterioration may result in a state where the tape can no longer be salvaged. 2. Initial Transfer • Once the tape is tested, the footage is transferred to a digital file. • This step creates a like-for-like copy of the original footage in a digital format. 3. Trimming • After the initial transfer, obvious blank spaces or backtracking video segments in the original footage are trimmed. • This ensures a cleaner and more polished digital file. 4. Optional Enhancement • For clients who want improved video quality, an AI processing stage can be added. • This enhancement step improves the visual and audio quality but is a time-intensive process that requires significant computer resources.
